
A skirt is a bottom wear and it’s a one piece of garment that make you look young and stylish. Skirts have always been a cornerstone in the apparel industry. A skirt is the most comfortable and flexible garment that suits for every outfit from professional to casual ones. It has the power to change the vibe of your outfit to reflect your mood. There are so many types of skirts that there’s one for every body type and occasion. People wear the skirts according to their body type and for suitable outfit.
So,here I start up with a quote,

So without any further ado let’s get started !!
1. A-line skirt

A-line skirts are perfect for parties as they are quite elegant. They are usually knee-length but come in all sizes. This is why this is one of the most sought-after patterns. While the waistline remains straight, the hemline broadens a little as it moves down.
2. Pencil skirt

Pencil skirts are slim and straight and usually taper as they go down. You can wear them formally and informally – depending on the fabric and pattern of the skirt.
3. Pleated skirt

Pleated skirt, a skirt with fullness reduced to fit the waist by means of regular pleats (‘plaits’) or folds, which can be stitched flat to hip-level. It’s a ready to wear skirt suits for casual.
4. Short skirt

Short skirt, a skirt with hemline above the knee, generally at mid-thigh level. It can be wear tall women. One of my favourite quote about shirt skirt is,

5. Bubble skirt

Bubble skirt, a voluminous skirt whose hem is tucked back under to create a “bubble effect” at the bottom. It gives a much curvier looks and hence is not a good option for those who don’t want to look voluminous. It looks like a balloon type skirt.
6. Godet skirt

Godet skirt, a skirt with triangular pieces of fabric into the hemline to enhance the volume of the skirt. An extra piece of fabric added to the skirt to bring a volume in it.
7. Sarong skirt

Sarong, a square or rectangle of fabric wrapped around the body and tied on one hip to create a skirt. Think of the beaches and you know what this is!! It’s a simple fabric that you can wrap around the waist to form a skirt. You can also wrap it around the body to form a cover up for your bathing suit.
8. Asymmetrical skirt

Asymmetrical skirts are made up fabrics that have varying lengths at the hem. This skirt is chic and elegant which can wear by tall women’s. These are also commonly known as High-Low Skirts.
9. Mermaid skirt

Inspired by the mermaid myths, this style has a fish cut flaring at the end. It has a special feature of flaunts your hip line drastically. It’s best occassion to wear in party wear and formal wear.
10. Peplum skirt

Peplum skirts, An overskirt is a type of women’s short skirt which is draped over another garment,such as a skirt, breeches or trousers. Although peplum is often used as another term of an overskirt.It suits for well- toned body.
11. Tube skirt

Tube skirts are one of the most preferred outfits for work wear. They are very comfortable and have a narrow hem line.
12. Accordion skirt

Accordion pleats are form of tight pleating which allows the garment to expand its shape when moving. It’s easy to see why the accordion skirt is a trend that just won’t stop they’re soft, flowing and super flattering.
13. Ruffle skirt

Ruffle skirt,a wavy effect is achieved without gathers or pleats by cutting a curved strip of fabric and applying the inner or shorter edge to the garment. The depth of the curve as well as the width of the fabric determines the depth of the flounce.
14. Sheath skirt

A sheath skirt is a fitted, straight cut skirt often nipped at the waistline with no waist seam.
